Have a cultural day in SP without any spending
For art fans, São Paulo is full of possibilities, and best of all, it has attractions of all prices! With several museums and galleries across the city, there are plenty free options.
For those who have some time to spare, many exhibitions have free admission once a week.
The Museum Afro-Brazil, which rescues the influence of African culture in the country; the Pinacoteca, with a rich collection; and MAM, which specializes in modern art.
For those who cannot wait, we made a list of some really nice museums that do not have any fees, no matter what day it is.
Casa das Rosas, in the region of the Paulista Avenue, is worth the visit for itself. But if the charm of the building is not enough, it is worth for the cultural programming, with exhibitions, soirées and readings.
MAC (Museum of Contemporary Art), located next to the Ibirapuera Park, on its turn, has an extensive collection of works and temporary exhibitions.
In the Jardim Europa region, a good option is the Brazilian Museum of Sculpture, or MuBE, with statues by artists like Brecheret.
In the Center, the CC Banco do Brazil houses several national and international exhibitions, which bring renowned names in the arts.
And speaking of cultural centers, the Centro Cultural São Paulo, better known as Vergueiro, brings different activities for those who stop by it. Exhibitions, concerts, readings, dance and many other activities are part of the daily life of the place.
Still, there is the Itaú Cultural, which also features rich programming, with various concerts and shows, always varying artists and styles.
And for those who like to enjoy a day outdoors, pass by Beco do Batman in Vila Madalena. The walls of the Beco are loaded with ink and a lot of art, and if you are lucky, a live show may be happening.
Or you can visit the Mirante 9 de Julho. Reopened and renovated, the site has space for exhibitions, parties, outdoor movie projections, coffee and many other really nice cultural activities. This, of course, not counting the main feature: a super view on the 9 de Julho Avenue!
And what about a little morbid attraction, such as a guided tour through the Consolação Cemetery? All you have to do is book it! Held during the day, the tour takes participants to the graves of celebrities which are true works of art.
